Thyroid Off? You're Missing This

When we look at your thyroid labs, it’s not just about how much thyroid hormone you have… it’s about what your body is actually doing with it.

Your thyroid primarily produces T4, which is your inactive hormone. Your body then has to convert that into T3, the active hormone that actually drives your metabolism, energy, mood, and more.

But here’s where things can go wrong…

Instead of converting T4 into active T3, your body can convert it into reverse T3... which essentially acts like a “brake pedal” on your metabolism.

So even if your labs look “normal”…
Even if you’re taking thyroid medication…

👉 You can still feel exhausted, stuck, and not like yourself.

When your reverse T3 is too high, it’s usually a sign of one of two things:

  • You may be on too much T4-based medication
  • Your body is under stress (think cortisol, inflammation, illness, under-eating, overtraining)

And the good news?
These are things we can actually fix.
