Stuck, Tired and Frustrated - What was Sarah Doing Wrong?


Hey Reader,

I was talking with a patient.... let’s call her Sarah
and I felt for her... her frustration was over the top.

She actually said...

“I don’t get it… I’m barely eating, I’m working out almost every day, and I just keep gaining weight.”

But what really got me was this part that I hear from so many patients...

She was exhausted by 2pm... (not unusual)
running on coffee in the morning... (need that boost to get started)
waking up around 2-3 am most nights… (why?)
and just felt off in her body.

What was happening wasn’t a lack of effort on Sarah's part.

It was that her body had been under-fueled and stressed for so long… it had adapted. Yes, changed to cope!

❗️Her metabolism slowed down
❗️Her stress hormones were high
❗️Her body was holding onto everything it could

Not because anything was “broken”
but because it was trying to keep her going

So.... what's the answer? We didn’t need add more.

We actually pulled back on a few things.

We focused on:

🔹 Eating consistently (even when it felt counterintuitive for her)
🔹 Balancing her meals so her blood sugar wasn’t crashing
🔹 Supporting her nervous system
🔹 Being more strategic with supplements instead of guessing

I gotta tell you, within seriously 1-2 weeks:

🔹 Sarah was feeling more energy throughout the day
🔹 She wasn’t crashing in the afternoon
🔹 The 2-3 am wake-up stopped

and her body finally started responding again...


This is exactly what I’ve been walking through in the metabolism series, and now the supplement series on my podcast.

Because most women don’t need more discipline…
